Only JAS members are eligible to take any JAS class except for the Cooking class.

English Coversation Class

We are looking for English teachers!

Do you like teaching English?

JAS, in addition to our Japanese language classes, also offers English language classes. We teach English classes both at our classroom at Yujo Hall as well as at Kawashimo Public Center (a link to the map is located below). We are actively looking for friendly individuals to become English teachers and substitutes for JAS. The classes lean toward conversational English, but the curriculum is completely up to the teacher. Speaking Japanese is not required. Classes are scheduled once per week, same time and day each week. English teachers receive pay of $40.00 for every class taught or substituted for. Please contact the JAS office if interested!
