Guided cross-cultural walking tour of the old Iwakuni Castle Town

Tour description: Japanese and non-Japanese participants will walk around the Nishimi side of the old castle town while interacting with each other.

Nishimi side was developed in the early 1600s as a residential area for lower and middle-class samurai and merchants, craftsmen, and other townspeople.

Discover new attractions of "old" Iwakuni that regular tourists can rarely explore and enjoy visiting or seeing the Museum of Old Iwakuni School Education, restaurants, an antiques and folk crafts shop, sweets and candy shops, and temples while enjoying the atmosphere of the old castle town that remains in places and its changes.

*The tour route this time is only on the Nishimi (Iwakuni) side. It does not include the Yokoyama side, which many tourists visit (Kikko Park, Kikko Shrine, Iwakuni Castle, White Snake Museum, etc.), nor does it include crossing Kintaikyo Bridge.

Those interested in the Yokoyama side should visit it by themselves without a guide in the afternoon after the tour or on another day.

*Participants will receive the tour details and reference materials later.
